How do i get a guy to spit something out?

theres this dude on Toontown that i am really good friends with. And he starts a conversation then says nvm. i dont know how to get him to talk to me about it. ive tried asking him "r u hiding something from me?" and i even asked a friend to see if he will tell her. i know he is hiding something, its obvious. but i just cant get him to say it. i like him, and i want to see what he is hiding from me. i need GOOD answers and not like " oh maybe he likes u" or something like that. one time, i got into a small fight and he said "but....." and i asked "but what?" and he said "nvm". i really need some answers by tommorow (aka 5/5/11) thx!
