Guys opinions: should i just forget about him? (best answer!)?

Just move on with your life, if you really don't want to then just don't text him anymore and do what he's doing. Don't text him for a while if he text you first then it's showing he cares, if he never does text you then just move on you don't wanna spend your whole summer depressed over a guy who's throwing away a great friendship right? If a person can throw away great things then they aren't worth anything.
