Why Do people Assume That Since The Word Nazi Means National Socialism That Nazism is automatically Left Wing?

I have wondered this myself since Hitler did not nationalize any industries, everything remained in private hands. The Nazi's incorporated the word socialism into their name to attract votes of unions and socialists, but once in power did not do anything that was socialist. It was a deception that still seems to work today.
