Why can't boys like me?

Okay, every girl in my class had boys like them, even the unattractive and attractive ones that are extremely mean and fake. All the boys like them except me. People say I am very beautiful (not just family members, teachers and family friends) I am very nice to people and charitable. also I'm very smart but very strict with my work. So strict that nothing can bring me down. But, boys don't like me. Every time I told a boy that I liked him, he would respond by saying "eww you're ugly". Seriously all the boys said those exact words. But then i catch them looking at me, or so I think because I could be blocking their view of someone else. But Anyways, what is wrong with me or what's wrong with them? Sorry for grammar issues
